Edinburgh, Apr 28. Last Thursday was observed in a
distinguished manner, on account of the happy, glorious and
complete victory obtained over the rebels by his Royal
Highness the Duke of Cumberland: The musick bells rung, the
union flag was displayed from the castle,. . .
ON THE DUKE'S ROUTING THE REBELS, APRIL 16.
The wise and ancient Romans held it far
More merit (when engag'd in foreign war)
To save one freeborn member of their state,
Than conquer distant realms tho' near so great.
